Help · Checking a document

Checking a certificate, ID or pet tag.

How an employer, a guard or a landlord checks that a barangay document is real, with its check code.

Last reviewed September 28, 2026

Find the code

Every certificate, Barangay ID and pet tag carries a check code, for example BA-7Q2K-9XM4, and a QR code that opens the check page.

Check it

Open the Check a document page and type the code. The page says whether the document is valid, expired or cancelled, and shows only the holder's name.

If the result looks wrong

Call the hall at (02) 8895-4011 with the code. Never accept a document whose check says it was cancelled.
