What's happening

The national weather bulletin expects heavy rain over Metro Manila, including Makati, from Tuesday evening until Thursday morning. Low-lying streets may flood for a short time during the heaviest rain, and branches may fall.

Barangay tanods and the rescue team are on standby. Barangay services at the hall run as normal.

What to do

  1. Bring in or tie down loose thingsPlants, chairs, signs and anything the wind could carry.
  2. Clear the drain in front of your houseOnly if it is safe. Leaves and rubbish block drains and cause flooding.
  3. Stay off flooded streetsDon't walk or drive through floodwater: it can hide open drains and live wires.
  4. Charge your phone and keep a flashlight readyIn case the power goes out.
  5. If officials tell you to leave, goFollow the tanods and the evacuation route signs posted in the village.
  6. Report what is not an emergencyA blocked drain or a fallen branch: report a concern on this website. For danger to life, call 911 or the tanod.
